Welcome to the Yale Cricket Club website. We are an enthusiastic bunch here, hailing from countries around the world. A very multicultural team comprising of Indians, Sri Lankans, Pakistanis, Australians. British and of course American players. We have a huge passion for the game, playing regular matches with local clubs around the area and watching cricket on a regular basis. You can also see us doing our stuff on campus, usually playing on old campus whenever the weather is good. Come down and have a hit if you are passing by! Yale Cricket has gone from strength to strength in our last couple of years with increased funding from the university and a greater member base. We are looking at some exciting times ahead. If you are a club wishing to play us, please contact us. We are able to host matches, and we are always eager to visit your club as well. Furthermore, if you are an university team please contact us as we are in the process of creating a New England University Cricket League so we can have regular fixtures according to the academic calendar. The approximate address of the ground is 45 Yale Avenue, and you can use Google maps or the like to get there. It is opposite Yale Bowl and is labled Lot A on the Fence entrance. The driveway from the entrance leads to the ground. You can call either me or Varun (captain) to get exact directions from 45 Yale Avenue. My number is 2037816300 and Varun’s is 2035083225. |

Practices
Yale Cricket practices once a week (generally Fridays) at Parking Lot A. Practices are mandatory for all team members and serve as a good warm-up for the upcoming matches. The side goes through various drills to improve their batting, bowling and most importantly, fielding skills. Practices generally last for 3 hours and are very intense. Yale Cricket has recently secured artificial pitch matting as well as nets to conduct its practices. |
